We are looking for an experienced and talented Junior Data scientist who is enthusiastic to join our partner company Emax Digital on a remote basis.
Emax digital offers cloud-based software solutions for vendors, sellers, and agencies on Amazon, focusing on data-driven analytics and AI-based recommendations. Their tools help optimize product portfolios, advertising spend, and market visibility, enabling clients to increase sales, save costs, and efficiently manage their Amazon business.
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Data Scientist to build views in BI tools, streamline data ingestion processes, and improve
Performance. More likely your tasks will include:
- Build and maintain dynamic and interactive views and dashboards in BI tools such as Power BI, or Cluvio using SQL.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and ensure the views meet their needs.
- Optimize SQL queries for performance and efficiency.
- Develop ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes to integrate data into the data warehouse using Databricks.
- Use PySpark on Databricks to pre-calculate views and improve query performance.
- Monitor and tune data workflows to ensure efficient data handling.
- Implement data validation rules and processes to maintain high data quality standards.
- Collaborate with the data engineering team to ensure data integrity throughout the data lifecycle.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- 1+ years of experience with SQL and building views in BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Looker).
- Familiarity with data ingestion processes and ETL tools.
- Knowledge of PySpark and experience working with Databricks.
- Understanding of data quality assurance practices and techniques.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
