Job Title: Finance Manager

Reporting to: General Manager

 

Location: Tbilisi, Georgia

 

Required Education:

·       University degree in Accounting/Finance/Economics (honors diploma, MBA, BBA desirable)

·       At least on first level of ACCA, CFA or CIMA

 

Required Work Experience:

·       Qualified accountant with strong experience in the hospitality and real estate sectors at a manager level

·       Past exposure to working on hotel development or renovation projects would be considered an advantage

·       More than 5 years of work experience

·       More than 3 years in managerial position

 

Required Skills:

·       Experience in a management role for a hotel, hotel owning and/or hotel investment company

·       Detailed knowledge of IFRS with ability to deliver high quality financial reporting and analysis

·       Ability to arrange finance for projects and monitoring of financial covenants

·       Robust investment appraisal skills and sound commercial acumen in evaluating opportunities

·       High proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint

·       Professional demeanor with ability to work independently

 

Required Language Skills:

·       Fluent in Georgian and English

 

Main Responsibilities:

 

Not limited to:

 

        Day to day financial management of the hotel business unit affairs during normal operations (e.g. Daily Report, communications with the asset management and consultants, etc.)

        Ensuring excellence in financial reporting, accuracy and planning of the owners’ accounts, including project financing and bank financing

        Compliance to policies and procedures and the hotel HMA’s, and accuracy in short and long-term financial planning

        Completion of the month end closing process, including consolidation of the operators accounts to the owner’s books, as directed by General Manager

        Preparation of the reconciliations of balance sheet accounts on a monthly basis; Preparation of monthly, quarterly, annual and ad hoc financial reports, as directed by the General Manager

        Provide analysis on the financial and commercial performance of the company

        Recommendation of remedial action to address financial performance problems where appropriate

        Liaising with the operators to develop detailed cash flow forecasts every month and for compiling or analysing other information

        Deliver and oversee Company’s financial analysis, projects or reporting to the General Manager, as requested.

        Reviewing of the operator’s annual operating, FF&E and capex budgets

        Keep up-to-date on latest developments in the Financial Management field especially in Hospitality sector

        Balancing multiple responsibilities
