SPECIFIC JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
General: · Handles all guest inquiries. · Regular guest entertainment (minimum twice per week) · Conducting hotel site inspections as required · Attends departmental, communication meetings and training sessions and operates in line with the instructions received. · Prepares and execute sales objectives and action plans. · Applies the sales administration guidelines. · Is constantly updated on the economic and competitive conditions. · Proactively ensures guest satisfaction during functions and events · Entertains guests in the Hotel/ Water Park / conduct site inspections. · Regular monitoring of accounts production · Basic knowledge and good use of standard computer programs · As directed, participate in promotional events within the hotel, the industry & customer organizations, in order to promote and maximize sales · Adheres to the Hotel rules at all times. · Flexibility in working hours as required. · Has full knowledge of hotels safety and emergency procedures.
Specific:
- Personal & telephone follow-up with companies on offers forwarded in order to secure confirmation · Formulation of offer letters. · Ensures offer letters goes out within maximum of 24 hours. · Handles incoming calls & ensure messages are taken & details are forwarded to the person concerned · Ensures maximum hotel occupancy is achieved. · Within established parameters quotes and negotiates prices with the customer representatives. · Achieves maximum productive sales calls daily. Up to a minimum of 6 · Once business is confirmed, the Sales Manager is to forward the completed file to Event Manager or Banqueting Department for them to follow-up on the details and to action. · Organize communication meetings with Banquets, Group manager, event Manager with regards to finalized details of all major events. Updates daily reports of customer interactions of defined accounts (face to face and telephone calls) in opera Sales & Catering · Solicits & serves transient, group business & meetings from his/ her accounts portfolio. - To represent the Sales functions and needs of the hotel in the development of the Company’s policy
- To direct the development of special sales plans to special accounts and unique Sales situations
- To assist in developing the Hotel/ Water Park Marketing Plan consistent with the Divisional Office/Area/Regional Marketing Centre’s guidance and in line with the Corporate Marketing Objectives
- To have a thorough knowledge of competitive marketing, sales and advertising strategies, pricing and rate structures and further hotel developments planned for the country
- To establish and direct priorities of all Marketing programs and projects. To monitor the effectiveness of these programs and projects and to re-evaluate them for cost effectiveness and productivity
- To maintain awareness of the community and the business, political and social factors which may affect the objectives of the Hotel/ Water Park
- To implement the marketing policies and procedures of the Hotel/ Water Park
- To prepare and administer the marketing budget and to maintain the expenditures within the prescribed limits as approved by General Manager
- To maintain and update the Business Development organization chart, reassigning responsibilities as necessary, to meet the marketing objectives of the Hotel/ Water Park
- To develop and maintain Hotel sales support and promotion material
- To develop and coordinate the marketing activities of Hotel/ Water Park and to communicate these activities throughout the hotel
- To administer and coordinate the sales activities and programs of Business Development Department with the objectives of maximizing both Rooms and Food & Beverage revenue
- To measure, interpret and evaluate the effectiveness of marketing activities and to re-evaluate programs on an ongoing basis. To maintain the effectiveness of these programs in achieving the objectives of the Marketing plan, and to alter them, where necessary, to meet changing priorities and needs of the hotel
- To maintain the Advertising programs and budget of the Hotel/ Water Park, assuring their effectiveness in achieving the objectives of the Marketing Plan, their compliance with policies of GHG Hotel and their operation within the budget as outlined in the Profit Plan
- To coordinate public relations activities of the Hotel/ Water Park, maintaining its efforts to achieve the objectives as outlined in the Marketing Plan
- To define and target markets to be solicited and develop an appropriate sales solicitation strategy for both domestic and international markets
- To maintain personal contact with key clients and to back up the activities of any member of the Business Development Team when required
- Acquires a working knowledge of Hotel/ Aqua Park, in-house facilities and local information to respond to guest questions in these areas as required
- Informs Supervisor or manager of any guest dissatisfaction
- Keeps immediate supervisor promptly and fully informed of all problems or unusual matters of significance
- At all times projects a favourable image of the Hotel/ Aqua Park to the public
EMPLOYEE PROFILE:
- Education/ Experience
- Georgian, English, multilingual ability preferred
- MBA or BA in Hospitality Management or equivalent
- Several years’ experience in overall operation
- MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook & PP), PMS
