This is a remote position.

We are looking for an experienced and talented freelance Ruby on Rails Full-stack Software Engineer who is enthusiastic to join our partner company Daito on a freelance — remote basis (https://www.daito.io/). Daito is the web-based 2FA authenticator for startups, SMBs, and security-driven teams. 

More likely, your tasks will include:

• You will take ownership of entire features, from conception to deployment, leveraging your extensive experience in software engineering;
• You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and maintain full stack web applications using Ruby on Rails;
• You will engage in both front-end and back-end development, ensuring a seamless user experience and overall application functionality;
• You will analyze and troubleshoot complex technical issues, utilizing your expertise in Ruby and the Ruby on Rails framework;
• You will contribute to continuous improvement and optimization of existing code;
• You will go beyond ticket completion to gain a deep understanding of users, products, and market dynamics;

Requirements

• You have at least 5 years of experience as a Full-stack Ruby-on-Rails engineer;
• You have a bachelors degree in computer science or similar field;
• You have a strong verbal and written communication skills in English, B2 Level;
• You have experience building entire features from conception to deployment;
• You feel comfortable working with a small team of developers (2-3 people);
• You bring previous startup experience, ideally as a founder yourself, and can work with incomplete information and with a high degree of freedom & responsibility;
