Junior Frontend Developer (AI-Assisted Development)

Role Overview:

We're seeking a motivated Junior Frontend Developer who is comfortable working with AI coding assistants (like Cursor, GitHub Copilot, or Claude) to accelerate development. You'll work directly with our CTO to build user-facing features while the CTO focuses on architecture and strategic decisions. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a startup environment while leveraging cutting-edge AI development tools.

What You'll Do:

Core Responsibilities

Build and maintain frontend features using Angular and modern web technologies
Work with AI coding agents (Cursor, GitHub Copilot, Claude, etc.) to write, debug, and optimize code
Implement responsive UI components based on Figma designs and specifications
Collaborate with the CTO on feature implementation and technical decisions
Write clean, maintainable code following established patterns and best practices
Participate in code reviews and learn from feedback
Test features across different browsers and devices
Document your work and contribute to technical documentation

Daily Activities:

Pair with AI assistants to implement new features and fix bugs
Translate design mockups into functional Angular components
Integrate frontend with backend APIs
Participate in daily standups and sprint planning
Learn and apply new technologies as the platform evolves

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Technical Requirements

Basic proficiency in Angular (personal projects, bootcamp, or coursework acceptable)
Comfortable using AI coding tools (Cursor, GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, Claude, or similar)
Understanding of:
HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript/TypeScript fundamentals
Responsive design principles
Git version control basics
RESTful API integration
Ability to read documentation and learn independently
Problem-solving mindset and attention to detail

Nice to Have:

Experience with Tailwind CSS or similar utility-first frameworks
Familiarity with React or other modern frontend frameworks
Basic understanding of UX/UI principles
Exposure to Figma or design tools
Previous internship or freelance development experience
Contributions to open source projects or personal portfolio

Essential Soft Skills:

Self-starter mentality - comfortable working with minimal supervision
Strong communication skills and ability to ask good questions
Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies
Comfortable with ambiguity and rapid iteration
Team player who takes ownership of their work
Resourceful - knows how to find answers and solve problems

Education & Experience:

Currently pursuing or recently completed degree in Computer Science, related field, OR equivalent self-taught/bootcamp experience
No formal work experience required - internship level acceptable
Portfolio of personal projects, GitHub contributions, or coursework demonstrating coding ability
